About Yáy
Yáy Atelier changes the way fashion interacts with the senses. Each hand-drawn bandana in this collection has been transformed into a unique music composition, using an exclusive innovative and creative process. This means that every bandana carries its own musical notes directed by the design itself. Colors, shapes, and patterns are transformed into music and video through an AI-assisted process, turning design into a multi-sensory experience. Yáy Atelier is where fashion, music, and technology merge to create a truly multisensory experience. More than just a fashion brand, Yáy Atelier redefines how we engage with design by transforming colors, shapes, and patterns into music and video.
Each bandana in this collection is not just a fashion piece, it’s an experience. Through an innovative creative process, every design is translated into its own unique music composition and visual journey, making each bandana more than just something to wear, it’s something to feel, hear, and connect with.
Yáy Atelier is for those who seek more than aesthetics. It is for the dreamers, the creatives, and the ones who appreciate the deeper story behind design. Every piece tells a tale, every pattern carries a rhythm, and every color sings its own song.
Welcome to Yáy Atelier where fashion is more than what you see, it’s what you experience.
Meet The Founder
Esra Demirhan, the mind behind Yáy Atelier, is a visionary designer who blends engineering and art with a deep passion for storytelling. Born in Izmir, Türkiye, and now based in Cologne, Germany, she brings a rich global perspective to her work, having studied and lived across Germany, China, Türkiye, and the USA.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering and a master’s in Analytical Instruments, Measurement, and Sensor Technology, which she completed with a silver medal. She currently continues to work as an engineer, while running Yáy Atelier as a one-woman business and creative mind.
Her creative journey led her to study at a film academy and work as a production assistant in the Turkish film industry, where she explored the many layers of filmmaking. She later taught herself to edit, sharpening her voice as a visual storyteller.
She also founded the Ford Film Club, a still-active interest group under the Ford Freizeit Organization, bringing people together through cinema, storytelling, and shared inspiration.
With Yáy Atelier, she transforms pattern into rhythm, color into sound, and design into a cinematic, multi-sensory experience you can see, hear, and feel.
