About Us

Yáy Atelier is a multidisciplinary studio blending fashion, art, and technology to help people reconnect with their true self. Each hand-drawn design is a form of self-expression, created to empower and remind them who they really are.

Each bandana design is transformed into its own original music track through an innovative design-to-sound process. Every color, shape, and pattern is converted into music notes and then into the music composition; turning wearable art into a sensory experience. Scarves and posters are interactive; each embedded with a digital layer that gives you daily affirmations. 

Meet Esra

Our founder, Esra, created Yáy Atelier out of frustration that she had to do less in order to be accepted. When she talked to others, she realized many multi-passionate people felt the same; boxed in, told they were too much, expected to choose just one path. So she built Yáy Atelier to break that rule; creating products layered with art, tech, and meaning to help you connect with your unapologetic self. 

Esra blends engineering and art with a deep passion for storytelling. She holds a degree in Mechatronics Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Analytical Instruments, Measurement and Sensor Technology graduated with a silver medal. Born in Izmir, Türkiye, and now based in Cologne, Germany, she brings a rich global perspective to her work, having studied and lived across Germany, China, Türkiye, Cambodia and the USA.

Her creative journey led her to form a music band as a brutal vocalist, study at a film academy and work as a production assistant in the Turkish film industry, where she explored the many layers of filmmaking. She later taught herself to edit, sharpening her voice as a visual storyteller. This led her to create her Youtube Channel. Later one of her micro short film got awards from Film Festivals. During university, she founded a Rock Music Community, and later, while working, she created the Film Club to bring like-minded multipassionates together. She also loves inline skating, TRX and Aerial Yoga.
